In the early 1970's after his early retirement as a civil service employee, GH began experimenting with new forms of abstract expression. Turning this time to the sky, the artist explores his impressions of the universe with a series of "unknown planets" and star formations using acrylics on masonite. Using various techniques that often freed him of a brush, the artist freely interprets space as being quite densely populated with heavenly objects. |
